Greely Players Performing Arts Bursary

2026 Bursary Applications are Live

Each year the Greely Players make available bursaries to high school graduates in the Ottawa area to continue their studies in the performing arts. These bursaries are awarded in July/August of each year. To be notified when the next round of applications opens, join our mailing list.

The Greely Players Arts Bursary is awarded to a student who:

  • a) has been part of the Greely Players, or
  • b) has not been a part of the Greely Players but lives in the Osgoode Ward.

This individual must be accepted into a Fine Arts related program at the college / university level (dramatic arts, music, production, visual arts, dance, etc.).

Criteria

Applicants must:

  1. Be less than 25 years of age on September 1st, 2026.
  2. Either, or both:
    a) Live in the Osgoode Ward of the city of Ottawa; or
    b) Be a past or present member of the Greely Players (either onstage or backstage or in the orchestra).
  3. Be attending, been accepted into, or have applied to a Fine Arts program at a post-secondary institution. In the latter two cases, applicants must provide documented proof of acceptance with the application or as soon as possible thereafter. (Fine Arts may include music, theatre, or dance, or backstage skills such as sound, lights, set design, etc.)
  4. Submit a completed application form by application deadline (typically June) to the Bursary Coordinator

  5. Applicants should provide at least two (2) relevant written reference and contact details of the person providing the reference.
